To Wed a SoulA Poem by FireDrinkerMarriage is not always what the eye sees.
We honor the earth,
the honey suckle trumpets that spring forth, the spider string harps sing, Land loving lullabies. We fall through sky, Dreaming visionaries, Cloud born beds, Carry us off to pain-free lucidity. We love the moon, Basking in its opalescent glory, Silver linings, and divining light, light paths once unknown. Flowing free on rivers past, Life may seem so very fast, Swimming against the tides, of time. Holding on to hearts be wed, Turning thrice the cord, Subdued with love the beast is fed, Looking past the horde. All that matters is here not there, Close to me and you, Mirrors reflect undeniably, but souls know absolute. Spirit drawing ever near, Lost in bliss and without fear, God then whispers in our ear, We've done our best, Now time to rest. © 2014 FireDrinker |
