Dark Beauty

Dark Beauty

A Poem by DarkBeauty
"

transform

"

Cradle me, cradle me

within the dark webs of transformation

disappearing light

brings vast depths

of my burning spirit

Lying in the morbid corruptness

angel tombs of time

taking my breath slowly

the centre of my soul

over flowing coldness stirs

Trembling with no sight

passion fades from my touch

rebirth ringing

ringing in my halls

death is taking me

turning my centre engaged blackened heart

beats with light no more

cradle me, cradle me

in these sheddings

of dark sheath webs

All I have known

torn away

Release me..... in death

I like this one, particularly the fourth stanza. The opposing semantic fields of morbidity and heavenly are put to effective use.

This is fantastic! Certainly dark and beautiful.

A powerful and sad poem. Good flow of thoughts leading the reader to a sad ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Wonderful build up of a potent matter...the self ready to let sacrifice know freedom! :)
