Torn

Torn

A Poem by Dark Beauty

Silver moon light
come and fill my soul
charge me for battle
to endure the death of night

Morbid creatures lurk
closing my eyes they show me
the darkened wrathful vengence
I must endure

Moving within me
capturing the moon light held
no strength to fight
I am forever transformed
into this hellish darkness

Caged by the battle of defeat
a slave to morbid creatures
I have been torn

Deeply dark... who's hiding there. Top draw.

I guess the real question is, do the creatures reside in the dark or in the darkness behind your eyes. Either way it was a brilliant write.

Beyond the literal meanings (which are wonderfully expressed and crafted) this poem has a comment on our world and its darkness that is also quite compelling. Great write.
