Prayers in the Night

Prayers in the Night

A Poem by Dark Beauty

Wandering soul
in the crimson night
cloaked with thoughts
of an unending time

Prayers of dark fill my sleep
from ravaged angels
painful knots felt within my heart beat
wrap me tight in your wings of rapture

I feel the damp cold breeze
of your wings of flight
taking those prayers
to the full moon light

Turmoil and tears
quench my yearning
hands shake for the prayers of night
ravaged angels truly grip tight

Making fate come alive
with new lands to tread
bringing me gifts
of blackened hearts of dead

No light only dark lives here
twisted in silence
I hear no more
for death has taken me

On a journey once more
