A Poem by Dark Beauty

My ocean's depth corrupt by bloody tears
from the sorrow wounds of my eyes
my vessel is shattering in this
struggle of a stride
Blinded by muddy waters
praying for resolution to mend me whole
in clean waters
To uplift my soul to the sky for renewal

I held on so tight
I clenched my own breath
by letting you go
even though you were cruel to my heart
I realized I was squeezing my own life
Now I open my bright eyes and see you are
the core to this madness

I let go
feel the sun's warm rays kiss me softly
and I know after this day
Love with come my way

A strong poem. We will break our won heart many times to escape a bad place or situation. I like how you described the pain and I like the hope in the last lines. A excellent poem. Thank you.

Rough draft? Geez. I thought this was amazing. It has the strength, the flow, the imagery and the positive end. Sometimes, there are people who we surrender ourselves to only to be left broken in the end. But it takes courage to accept that reality and move on with the realization that you haven't found 'The One' yet.
I loved it. Well written. :)
