Chapter 3 of 'I'm Watching Over You'

I’m Your Guardian Angel
I was standing on the edge of a cloud over Suluth, Maine. And yes, it is possible to stand on a cloud. I was overlooking the very small town as the sun began to rise in the east. I opened the packet of papers and found the boys picture. He was beautiful, his green eyes and brown hair seemed to compliment each other perfectly. He was totally cute. I know that as an angel I can’t get attached to the person that I’m watching over, it’s a rule. But screw the rules this time; this guy was a total hottie. I slipped his picture into my back pocket and adjusted my shirt. Whenever an angel was sent down to earth they had to wear normal clothes in case they touched someone. The person who receives the angel can naturally see them, but if an angel touches another person, then they can see them also. That’s why we had to look like a normal person, or else people would start telling everyone about our existence.
Not many people know though, because once the person decides to send the angel back to heaven, they loose all memory that they had with that angel, so they won’t tell anyone. So in reality… less people know than u might think. I checked my little silver heart watch that was on my left wrist and saw that it was almost 9 in the morning. I unfurled my wings, letting them stretch out all the way and catch the glittering rays of sun. At full length my wings are 14 feet across. They are snow white with little spots of light gray that are only visible in certain light. Everyone envies my wings, and they wish they had them. I’m just unique, I guess.
I took one last look at the rising sun and jumped off the cloud letting my wings act like sails. The wind caught in them and I rose gracefully, catching some wind current. After a few minutes of looking for his house I spotted it. I checked to make sure that no one can see me, and then started making my way down. I carefully landed in his front yard. His house was pretty small. It was white with grey shutters and it had a lot of flowers around it. He lived on a small side road that no one really paid attention to. All this info was in the packet, you wouldn’t believe how much I had to read on him. I left my wings out to cool off and made my way to the front door. Another cool thing about being an angel is if someone can’t see you, then they can’t hear you either. So, I just opened the door praying that they didn’t have an alarm. Thankfully they didn’t and I walked in and quietly closed the door behind me, because Daniel could still hear me. I headed toward the stairs and slowly begin to climb up them. I guess everyone was asleep because all the doors were closed upstairs. I wish I had received a map of the house so I would know which room was Daniel’s. I walked down the hallway and saw a sign that said ‘Daniel’s Room.’ Well, I said to myself; that was helpful. I stood in front of the door for what seemed like forever. Then, I finally opened it and stepped inside.
Let’s just say, it was a typical 15 year old boys room. There was dirty clothes all over the floor, posters of dirt bikes, athletes, and girls in swimsuits. Ew. His walls were a deep blue, like the ocean. Everything else in the room was matched to his walls. Ill bet you $100 that his mom decorated his room. I shut the door behind me, and carefully picked my way through his dirty clothes that had been thrown all over the floor. It looked like his dresser exploded. I walked over to the side of his bed and looked at him. He was lying on his back his head turned toward me, with one arm hanging off the side of the bed. I saw his chest rise and fall evenly with every breath. He was so beautiful, sleeping there like… well, an angel.
I slowly extended my hand toward his perfect face. I hesitated a little before I ran one finger from his ear, along his jaw line, and over his perfect mouth. He slowly opened his emerald green eyes, and stared at me in shock. He started to sit up. “Hello Daniel,” I said. My soft angelic voice making him freeze. “W-who are you?” He asked with amazement and confusion in his voice. “Me?” I asked, pretending to be confused. “I’m your guardian angel.”

Your descriptions are really fantastic. I can clearly see everything that's going on in the chapter. I also love some of your lines such as "Yes, it is possible to stand on a cloud." They fit into the story so casually and give it a little humor. Not only that, but it makes Sophia seem more friendly, like she's trying to clarify how it feels to be an angel for us humans. Loved it, it's the best chapter yet!
