Allegro con fuocoA Poem by Megan BradtonA metaphorical English (Shakespearean) sonnet.
Allegro con fuoco The ground began to shake with violent force, Stripped bare He stood with Arms and Legs outstretched. The dark returned as She began her course, While heated rain beat down on dark deep Breast. The rushing in His Ears began to grow, As dangerously She approached Her peak. Her pace increased and leaves began to blow, And then Her Rumble made his Knees go weak. Electric force around Him whipped and swirled, He closed His Eyes and waited for the Pains. Her slender Fingers then about Him curled, And shocking Fire coursed throughout His Veins. The Climax brought Him harshly to His Knees, And on She moved, now silent as you please. © 2008 Megan BradtonAuthor's Note
