A Twist of FateA Poem by everwanderA poem based on the tragedy of the fictional character Anakin Skywalker, and the vicious dark Darth Vader is forced to become. Enjoy.
In this twisted darkness I am With only my pain My suffering and joy Yet no salvation will find me In this darkness I remain My hate is strong Like the fire that courses in me Surrounded by walls of black I see only myself I feel only the hatred The fire of it burns white within Air is no longer needed Life itself is no longer what I desire Hatred is me I live for it and only it Once before I agonized at this feeling Yet feeling is all I am now With that fire racing across me I have nothing left A cold mask has slid over me My will to live My will to exist and breathe Love has left me forever Hatred, my suffering and joy Forever a part of me Forever and never more A twist of fate I am Bound to none but me I thrive in the power My lust for it is strong It makes me breath Forget petty life Forget the mockery of emotion Hatred is all I need For it allows me to feel nothing © 2009 everwander |
