I am the wolf, terrifying like a savage beast. I can gobble you with one bite, because I never let my prey out of sight. But this highly descriptive piece is just an age-old stereotype from the fairy tales because in reality I am a nice well behaved pup who keeps to himself and leads a private life.
_____
Wolves like me are always being targeted by the other animals. It isn't our fault three pigs decided to build their well constructed houses in our territory without proper authorization. We believed we were right and we put up a fight. But those pigs I tell you, they are the real murderers. They cooked my dear friend in a pot of soup. In the end, our pack was put to shame while those troublesome pigs were declared saints and rose to fame.
_____
Then came a delicate girl whose name was Red Riding Hood. I truly wish it was a fox instead of a wolf that crossed paths with that cursed hood. The innocent wolf had a long interaction with little Red but didn't know she had a long fixation on the idea of death. It was she who forced my dear brother to devour her and her grandmother. In the end, it was him who was killed by the ax of a lumberjack and little Red's desire remained unfulfilled

Us wolves are not horrible, we are just misunderstood creatures who are awaiting a day when justice will be granted. It's a day that might never come but for now just call us dreamers. In the meantime, this stereotype will prolong so beware! I am a wolf and while I am good hearted, the stories show that I am menacing and cruel. Even when I am right I am still wrong!
Hi everyone so I would just like to clarify that I tried adding an image of what I wrote but I can see the font was a little small and may strain eyes. I couldn't find another way to enlarge the photo and I didn't want to delete it either... So I added an image of the piece and a typed out version of the story below just incase :)
This is similar to my poem/story " Humanity Behind the Evil" in the sense that I am talking about the big bad wolf from fairytale such as the 3 Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. Feedback is always appreicated :)

I loved wolves growing up and I even have a tattoo of one on my back from when I was in the Navy. So, I enjoyed this, it made me want to make a sign that says, "Wolves are people too", and go picket the capital. LOL. Seriously, I liked how it was written in first person and laid out all the injustice with a bit of tongue in cheek.

First, What a cutie photo! Second, I prefer Wolves over Lions and Foxs SO yeahhh I can relate to this lol You made me smile. Wolves are very protective to their families, yes there are few misunderstandings about them, did You ever heard their voice? It's literally a WEEPING! once I watched a beautiful White Snow Wolf (MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE) hauling... believe me, few tears fell! their voices are like a bleeding wound. anyway, enjoyed this sweet story :>

This is a really fun concept and I like the ideas that you've put down here. However, the rhyming scheme is really throwing me off. It seems like you switch around between rhyming and not indiscriminately, and the flow of your story suffers because of it. I'd love to see this rewritten or even with a few word choices changed! Please keep up the good work!

I definitely agree, at times I don't rhyme and other times I do. I wasn't so sure what I wanted from this, a poem or a story? As I had this in a folder I just decided to put it on the website without looking it over. If I were to write something similar to this, I'll use your feedback, and think about the rhyming scheme. Thanks again!
Wolves have bad press don't they? You are so right, they appear as the baddies in fairy tales and stories quite frequently. I actually like them. They are magnificent creatures and their howling by moonlight is spooky. They hunt in packs but then so do many other animals. Live and let live I say. There is a place for all in the animal kingdom and there is a fine balance when it comes to food chains. Entertaining dear Aura and amusing with it. Yes perhaps Red Riding Hood shouldn't have been walking alone in the woods and the three piggies should have been more careful where they built their house :)) Such fun.

This sounds like a bunch of alibiing
I tried to be friendly with a wolf once
I took the initiative and tried to shake hand/paw but he ate my hand and arm.
I am a friendly guy so I used my other hand, still trying to forge a relationship!
That hand and arm were also eaten!
Same scenario with feet and legs!!
Very depressing.
Finally my main body went down its throat and only my head was left!
What is a poor boy to do?
Strangely. he seemed to finally realize that I had all along, just wanted to be friendly and amiable, and as a result came over to my head and offered a real friendly lick of the face, However I was kina annoyed by now and since my mouth was still working, I ate him.
Also, best not to smile at crocodiles either!
Just saying!

A fun write, but also a poem with a message. Every creature has a right to be on this earth. It is their planet as well as ours. Yes, some creatures are carnivores, and they eat other (usually smaller or weaker) creatures. But nature is finely balanced, and we humans have no right to question that fine balance.

Thank you so much for reading and sharing your input!
lets all sing the praises of the wolf and his pack eh!? ;) i love wolves .. they are incredibly intelligent and social creatures with easy to learn language ... you are welcome .. you don't belong here .. i am farther up in status than you .. and conversely they say to one another .. i am lower than you ... not many carnivores will stalk and kill human beings; but they do .. Polar bears are another ..
