Lost in the shadows.

Lost in the shadows.

A Poem by Stormy Weather

Casting rays of light in your dark room, if only for a moment.

It reveals the secrets you’ve swept under the bed.

Searching for you through the darkness, I’ve been lost for so long.

Will it reveal my presence?

The sun is so blinding, I cannot recognize it anymore.

The customs of the night held us so tightly.

I can’t breathe anymore.

Your face is lit up and I see you for the first time.

You’re a monster, I never knew.

Claws ripping through flesh.

Can the night come back forever?

We loved to dance in the dim moonlight.

This room is unrecognizable.

I can’t even see myself anymore, in this cracked mirror.

What have you done?

What has the sun revealed about us?

Sometimes a love affair is like a visit to an
exotic bar on a Sunday morning---- what was
all bright sparkling ecstacy now smells of vomit
and stale beer.
Sorry, just echoing your sentiments in a little
more primitive fashion.
