Loathing Can't Be Found in a Dictionary.

Loathing Can't Be Found in a Dictionary.

A Poem by Stormy Weather

So simply it started....in the black of the night.
Sighs and faint whispers swirled into the light.
Something so strange, so foreign, so new.
We were already close, but now I really knew.
My mind drifted into the untouched sky.
We decided to cover it with our sketchy lies.
Nobody knew of the elephant in her room.
While in my head lurked unforeseen doom.
My brain was exploding.
I was imploding.
Just the sheer contrast of that statement made me weep.
I wasn't sure if this was my skeleton to keep.
But gradually my closet filled, and I locked it up with my words.
Trying to do what I thought was right, but someone still got hurt.
It wasn't me.
It wasn't me, I'm so sorry.
I still remember when you admitted you loved me.
My world came crashing down, I finally found reality.
It was too late. I'm afraid it was too late.
I'm sorry, your heart wasn't saved.
I unknowingly ripped it out, placed it on my shelf.
Oh God, please believe me, I hate myself.
Please, please, please believe me.....
I hate myself.

Depressing, random, scary (in a weird sense) I just didn't get the 'elephant in her room' part. But altogether nice, love the wording and the flow. The stuff you wrote here...I just don't understand why the title is "Loathing Can't Be Found in a Dictionary" I just don't understand....

WOW! This poem was amazing, but so depressing, but really. I've been like this at times....
