Bleeding Sorrows.A Poem by Stormy Weather
Darling, I see the sparkle in your eyes.
The way you look before you cry. Your laugh, so cheerful. Your apology, so tearful. So amazing, in every way. I try to tell you everyday. But, you forget my truth. You want to enjoy your youth. The stars are so bright. They lighten the night. With ebony skies hanging overhead, As we lay down in your bed. You break and you scar. You cut and you mar. No care for such fragility. Strength proves your virility. But how can you so easily destroy? Treating yourself like a used toy. You're so beautiful, can't you see? You are absolutely perfect to me. Yet you poison yourself, Leaving your dignity on the empty shelf. Sincerity is fleeting, Your invincibility is depleting. Pollution cannot be reversed. Apologize like how you rehearsed, And make me believe you are true. How am I supposed to not worry about you? The earth is beautiful, in all its wonders. From the dry desert, to the rain and thunder. Don't let it die. But, you're just going to lie. Pretend it's nothing, all is well. The perfect excuse, straight from hell. I know you're not going to quit. Your life is making me sick, Find the beauty in you. I'm telling the truth, Stop killing yourself with fire. You keep calling me a liar, Saying you don't deserve life. So, keep going through your strife. I'll pretend it doesn't kill me, When it's 4 in the morning, And your bleeding into a can. Please, grow up. Be a man. Let me tell you how lovely you are. Even though, you are very far. I see the shining light in you. The light you apparently never knew. © 2011 Stormy Weather |
