Lady in my Glass.

Lady in my Glass.

A Poem by Stormy Weather

Your words assure me that I’m good enough,

But your eyes tell me to be better.

I suppose a lot of people have sensed this feeling--sometimes the real kicker is what people do with this sensation. Our mind, in their infinite tangle of neurological fibers, tell us what the gesture means. But we use that electricity to create things we never knew we could, to do deeds we never dreamed of doing.

That is the bittersweet beauty of the gesture. It can undermine us, but it can challenge us to light the lamp of our soul and our mind. That is why this poem is a good one to keep in mind. I think it is the kind you can write in a notebook and look at every day to remember to life a fulfilled day.
