A Picture In The SandA Poem by Dark Dancer (Grass Seed)Something that came from my lifeAs she ran across the meadows, Thinking she has won, When really, This has just begun. She pushes through the prickly trees, trying to get through, Thinking she's just wearing down, at the thought of you. People say she is a strong soul, When really she is not. Just a smiling face, and dreams is all she's got. She keeps on running into no where, No light to be seen, Nor sounds to be herd, Hope is tearing at her seam. She is starting to lose herself, Starting to give in, She runs and runs, but she will never win. She stops in her tracks, and she looks around, she looks at where she is, and no one can be found. She gave up, Gave herself in, painted a smile on her face, and lost her winning grin. She is stuck here, All she asks is for home, But no, Let's leave her forever alone. Silly girl, Thought she had it planned, but really, It was just a picture in the sand. © 2012 Dark Dancer (Grass Seed)Author's Note
