This Is The Storm

This Is The Storm

A Poem by Dark Cloud
"

The original, or alternate title to this can also be 'This Is The Rain'

"
Standing outside waiting only for you
The sky tore open, drenches me much to soon
On your front porch is where I stand
To meet you once more out in this rain
So open your doors & shelter me in
I came for you, I'll come only for you
You kept me warm in my coldest of days
Look down upon me if you will
From your willow sill, still you cry for me
Won't let me in it's much to soon
The thunder roars as I scream your name
You can't hear me, please let me in
The world is bathe in white, blinds me, it hurts
Come running down the stairs, are you fast enough?
It's cold outside I'll go under the weather
The door swings open, the smile is on your face
Beckoning for me to come inside I follow you still
My heart it warms as my body is still cold
Up the stairs we go into your room
Undress I will as you bring me a towel
Wipe the water from my face as you cry inside
I'll hold you close the water warms me now
This is the storm just like this love
It will come down upon us like tears of our eyes
