The Dreamer

The Dreamer

A Poem by Terrell A. Pullen

I walk in a world
It can only be explained to others
But only seen by me
I walk my world
Walk it well when I am awake
Walk it better when I am sleep

In my world I am rich
The most wealthy of men
What makes it feel real?
I'm willing to give again and again

In my world I am the most athletic
Stronger and taller than them all
If it were true
I'd help them rise and not fall

In my world love is loving me back
Unconditionally and trusting
Just like that
Loving my good and bad is not an opinion
It is not an option
It's a duty that is fact

If this world was perfect
I would have and be these things
I am the dreamer
My world is perfect
But only in my dreams.

Dreamers often invent themselves and the world. As long as we use our dreams as a catalyst for action, our dreams will help us to reach the stars. liked this piece.
