Nameless Her

Nameless Her

A Poem by Terrell A. Pullen

I can't take this anymore
Stare at the mirror
Tears hit the floor

How many times Lord?
I know whats to come, hearing his voice
Loud as it beats the door

Curses cutting through me
His words make me feel so...
So...

I need to breathe
Here comes the cry
Time to evacuate this life it's like...
Katrina's in my left...
Ike's in my right eye

Raining on the parade my soul is trying to have
Can't afford to be mad
Don't know how to be glad
So now I'm just....

Sad...

They said I must love this life
How silly of me
Marry an unhappy, angry man who beats his meat
Should have known he'd beat his wife

Right?

Right?
