Week's Lament

Week's Lament

A Poem by Kristen Darian Marie Wiley
"

A morbid take on the old Nursery Rhyme, if you don't know the original ask me and I'll let you know. :)

"

Tuesdays child is full of grace,
But with age where does it go?
It's outshined by Monday's face,
And keeps by Wednesday's woe.

Friday's child was loving and giving,
Now she lives on poor man's row.
Saturday's given up her hard living,
And convinced Thursday not to go.

Then the child born Sabbath day,
Always tried to beat status quo,
Was merry, clever, blithe and gay,
As off to the sanitarium she'd go...
