Love Too Heavily

Love Too Heavily

A Poem by Kristen Darian Marie Wiley
"

Dripping thoughts while doing things lover's do

"

No boy, don't you understand?
I hunger not for your kisses,
Face to Face,
Lip to Lip,
Breath to Breath,
Drinking and Drunk.

No boy, don't you understand?
I desire your body kisses,
Cheek to Neck,
Hip to Hip,
Chest to breast,
Sinking in and Sunk.

Boy, little boy, don't you know?
A smothered bud will never grow.
Boy, you love me too heavily,
You show all the cards too readily,
Learn to tease out our time,
Learn the beauty of heat that's slow.

Yes boy, one day you'll understand,
a woman is a complicated thing.
Lover and Friend,
Mother and Child,
Desired and Desiring.

Yes boy, I'll teach you how.
To have almost all of me.
Pulse and Beat,
Thought and Voice,
Music and Soul,
Loving and Loved.
