T h e {Love} A f f a i rA Poem by DaredToLoveFaith is murdered.
The once promising castles of Morales and values collapse by a double-edged blade
Beautiful vows of an eternity fade Peaceful merry-makers husband and bride Then duality took its form into a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Funeral for a heart Compliments twisted to complaints as they are torn apart The faithful one's broken dreams fall past blushed cheekbones as they reach for tissues Wrapped between the shady sheets of the distrustful one's issues A formula for this desiderata is of selfish desires and painful intentions Unfamiliar love claims to ease such tensions the equation ends with a heart broken for a stranger's comfort Covering the once beautiful lover's face with hurt The faithful is slain by temptation Excuses temporarily easing the situation as spiteful whispers fill the mind they are at a loss for lust and are blind Feeling the upper-hand as the stranger meets your demand Carefully sneaking for a cure inside another's bed For resolutions to the problems in their head. © 2012 DaredToLove |
