Why can’t you hear me?

For so long to hear your voice

Take away my sadness

Hold me tight in your arms

Don’t let me go away from you

Tell me my every sin is forgiven

That you never will let me hurt again

For I have let go of my weaknesses

And forgiven all that destroyed me

But now I see your face in my dreams

Why are you haunting my everyday?

Why weren’t you there when I cried to sleep?

What were you feeling when they took me away?

Do you feel my heart beating faster every moment?

Do you feel guilt that you damaged so much of my innocence?

Or was I all your past mistakes?

 

…. Should I still call you “father”?
