Battle of Love & Loss

Bury my heart beneath the depths of hell

Slaughter these tears with my hatred for you

Burn my soul into ashes upon your tray

For the pain is only controlling my mind

 

Throw the key to my heart into the blazing fire

And let our love remain beneath the embers

As the sadness and anger rage out of control

For now our memories lost in the black smoke

and our every ounce of happiness crashing down

as the light within our mind struggles to shine through

and the emotional darkness now colliding with our reality

for there’s no way out, only hope for a new beginning.

It sounds as though...it's about loss and heartbreak but starting over anyway, I really like it. It's really gooood and the words as so powerful, wonderful poem, really.
