the Devil's Pet

the Devil's Pet

A Poem by David Darabian
"

The most aggravating of the devil's inventions.

"

“WHY CAN’T YOU DO AS I WANT?”

He yells and gives her a hateful stare.

But she remains still, she doesn’t care.

“Is there a button for me to press?

To delete, and be out of this mess!”

She flickers some,

When he press her hard,

Hard with his thumb.

“I hate you! You stupid wh*re!

And weren’t you so darn pricey,

you’d be out of the door!

Why won’t you do as I want,

anymore?

A day had passed,

Since he tried last,

 When his friend,

through the door came,

And smiled, at the wicked dame.

She said nothing,

and remained the same.

“What’s wrong?

I came as fast as I could.

Doesn’t she do as she should?”

“NO!” he screamed in pain.

“Help me out, I’m going insane!”

“Try restart. That might do the trick.”

He pressed her button,

And shuts her with a *CLICK*

Now she stands in a dark, mouldy corner.

Beyond repair, but none will mourn her.

‘Coz she’s the devil’s pet

The most aggravating?

You bet!

You have such a wonderful way to view the world around you. Your imaginative descriptions give life to your work. I know the anger towards those that enter your lives as friends, companions, helpers, and secret keepers, only to devistate you when they no longer come alive with a few finger strokes. I love reading all of your writing. This is yet another example of why I keep my account active here! Great job!

Great piece. Reads like a naughty Dr. Seuss, and I mean that as a compliment.

Couple just got a new computer. Man types in 'penis' for password. Woman falls on floor laughing because error message appears saying, "Error. Password not long enough."
Computers are b!tches.

Lol. I wasn't sure what you were talking about until I clicked the pic and read your note just now. This is pretty funny. Even your description was amusing. It's definitely relateable too, which sweetened the pot a bit.
