You Taught Me How To FeelA Poem by Darian JustineI keep things locked up inside held in my heart, never to be let go I don't say half of the things I'm thinking there's so much I'm afraid for you to know
Like all of the things I've been through the lies echoing through my mind the images of the past as they race on the moments I would love to leave behind
The life that I have lived so far it's been far from easy, you see maybe that's why I'm so afraid to open my mouth, open up, be me
But here, you've got me laughing and for once the sound is real you've got me telling you all my secrets all my fears, and being real
I don't want to feel myself pull away because I think I do need to trust you give you my fragile heart that you could break and trust that you're not going to
I need to give you my everything my heart, my soul, my all let you wrap me up in your arms and pull me down to take the fall
my heart is pounding against your hand as you lift me up, hold me high you give me a reason to be free spread my wings, and fly
It truly has not been long but you've changed me a great deal You taught me how to let love in you taught me how to feel. © 2013 Darian JustineReviews
