I created my own god

Morpheus- God of Color
March. 23, 2010

In a land of darkness, there was a god. His name was Acacio, and he was the god of night. He was also the jealous brother of Apollo, god of the sky and sun. Acacio could not bear to be anywhere near his great and powerful brother, so when Apollo brought light to the earth, Acacio cowered  and hide. Now, Apollo was a very promiscuous god. He had many sons and daughters, but one of the most important of them all was named Morpheus, god of color. He was born from Theodora, god of rain. Because, with rain comes color.
At the birth of Morpheus, a huge, graceful bird full of colors swiftly landed itself next to the bed of golden blankets. This bird was named Dmitry, and he was the size of 1,000 eagles combined. He had been waiting silently in the heavens for the perfect god to arrive into the universe, and he had chosen. Once Morpheus matured, he was introduced to earth. He started his journey around the world by flight on the soft feathers of Dmitry. He was there to answer the cries of help from the people in need of him. Once Morpheus and Dmitry arrived they washed robust colors in place of the grey, crumbling monotones. So, when you see a picture of Morpheus, Dmitry will always be portrayed at his side.
My god controls many things. He mainly controls color, but is also a great friend of Demeter, god of growing things. When they are on earth together, they combine their strengths to make amazing creations. Every flower, vegetable, and fruit on earth you see today was created by them at one point in time. Farmers would pray to them to bring color and life to their harvests. Women and children would offer their art to the gods as inspirations for new plants.
