Valentine

A day of flowers and candy…

Romance is in the air…

 

No need for a box of chocolates…

Or even a simple rose…

Although it is very thoughtful…

It doesn’t bring us close…

 

I might as well be truthful…

Tell you what I need…

Flowers may be beautiful…

But other things run deep…

 

Like when you play my favorite song…

Or send one just for me…

It doesn’t take very long…

For my heart to skip a beat…

 

When you write something special…

I’m not sure what to say…

It gets me somewhere deep inside…

Every single day…

 

Or when you drive your car…

Many miles to get to where I am...

There would never be a place too far…

Because you’re my biggest fan…

 

Somehow, above all things…

You make me really see…

You would do just anything…

Just to be with me…

 

So, I don’t need all the fancy romance…

No need for Chocolates or flowers…

The things you do each day for me…

Makes this day “ours”…
