'Who are you?'
Sung the girl in my mirror Discouraged and defeated, I replied, 'I dont know anymore...' She wore a sorrowful smile Eyes filled with liquid despair 'What happened?' She curiously asked I dolefully laughed, not knowing where to start 'I poured my heart out, and now I am empty.' Her gaze held mine as she nodded in silence 'I thought you knew.' I replied, my heart breaking and knees buckling As the faucet turned on, she looked straight into my soul 'I knew... I just didnt accept it.' I raised my hand and put it up to hers 'I'm so sorry.' Obvious it was, her absent sparkle How strange it was to see her so weak Eyes full of desperation, too full of woe, I had to look away 'Please dont give up on me' She pleaded I walked away, each step heavier then the last © 2017 DaphneeAuthor's Note
