Hell

Hell

A Poem by Daphnee

Down to the Soul where darkness lies
The truth untold lingers there
Scars and scrapes align the walls
No Sun could brighten this self-Hell
A child, still young, hides in fear
Her monsters wear a different name
Dreams reside and then they die
Powerful and proud, demons take ahold
Their smiling faces, burned into the flesh
To die would be a great escape
For now I remain in this prison, the one I made myself
