Night

Night

A Poem by Daphnee
"

Night owl-me

"
They see it turn night
And rush inside
I see the Moon
And zoom outside
The wolves howl, creatures stir
No one is out
People fall asleep
Which leaves all the unspoken thoughts to me
I speak to the moon
Excited down to the bone
It lights the way and gives great company
Child of the night, intrigued by the stars
I sing a song, others can only dream
My eyes shine, and my heart pounds
This is where I belong
Sun starts to rise, you'll see me rush inside
Though the day is pleasant, it's far too bright
For the night owl, such as me

Great poetry.....very evocative imagery. The use of the word "nice" though, I feel could have been avoided by using a more expressive adjective...:)
