Free as a Bird

Free as a Bird

A Poem by Daphnee
"

Flying isnt easy

"
She had a unique love for birds
Wished to fly away from all her pain
Desired a full wind blowing her hair & face
Wanted to be free & go anywhere she pleased
Fly away from the nest & never look back
She hated pain, hated to abandon her comfort zone
Always played things safe & kept herself sheltered
She was a mystery, almost a paradox
For she wanted to fly but not leave the ground beneath her feet
Always yearned for the day she could take off
Wanted results but did not want to put forth effort
What a silly foolish girl
She didnt realize you have to fall before you fly

Wonderfully written and a fantastic representation of the reluctance of man which so contradicts his desires. All men wish to be a part of something great, yet they are unwilling to labor for their position.
