Shame the day she fell in love. She thought he was an angel sent from above. He took advantage of an innocent girl. Knowing she loved him, he was her World. He broke her heart, snapped it in two. He seemed perfect, now she knows its not true. He hurt her bad, gave her extreme pain. He drove her over the edge, drove her insane. Their friendship shattered, her heart grew of hate. From the beginning, he leered her in with bait. She'll never be the same, her heart is crushed. Even her friends got involved, who could she trust? Her plan, if he talks to her, is to ignore. He doesn't get what he did, doesn't realize hes a man w***e. He still tries to communicate with her, just like before. She no longer cares, for this is now war. Shame the day I gave him my heart. Now I know about him, now I'm smart.
Well written and deep. The pain is real. Shame on the situation before that made him this way towards the girl in the poem. But this is felt. You can feel what the girl in this poem is feeling through your words and then transition into her thoughts just as fast. You expressed the betrayal perfectly I thought and made it relative. Nice read!
Sometimes you look up and there just seems to be so many more stars that ever before. More. They burn brighter and they shine longer and they never vanish into your periphery when you turn your head. It's as if they come out for us and to remind us that their light took so long to come to us, that if we never had the patience to wait, we never would have seen them here, tonight, like this.
That as much as it hurts, sometimes it's all you can do, wait, endure and keep shining, knowing that eventually, your light will reach where it is supposed to reach and shine for who it is supposed to shine for.
It is never easy, but it is always worth it.”
