I needed a moment

I needed a moment
To sit and reflect
On this life Ive been living
And my lack of self respect
I'm all about giving
But tend to lose sight of my direction
Usually when communication lacks
I'm able to do the most reflecting
Looking further into myself
Digging deeper trying to find answers
Looking for the way out, help!
This has brought me down like a cancer
I need to be that advancer
Who knows how to put up a fight
Not willing to give up at the lack of sight
For what I want isn't always in my reach
I know today that through my writing I am able to teach...
Teach myself how to cope but also someone else
Possibly understanding my words and having the strength to ask for help
It's been a struggle
But I wouldn't change a thing
A few years ago my life wasn't something I was living
I wasn't able to be giving
And that's an accomplishment in itself
Never was one able to ask for help.

I love your title line . . . so many times in life, we all need to take a moment. I love how you come up with many unexpected ideas for how such a pondering session might be & how it might feel. This message shows a nice balance of struggling, combined with determination to find a new way.
