When u say u know me
U speak of the old me
I've changed but u can't see
I've buried myself under the sea
U didn't notice anything
But ever since that fighting
I felt my mind draw away
There's nothing more I could say
I cannot express what's wrong
I've been sad for too long
Nothing is quite the same
I almost forgot my name
I don't understand why you can't see
I'm not not who I used to be
Whether you believe me or not
I do care, I simply forgot
I've always cared, I though you knew
I'm so tired of fights, I'm through!
Don't take me seriously when I'm spaced out
I'm not looking for more things to fight about
In the end it's up to you
What I really am for you
I'm leaving for a while
When I'm back, I hope you'll smile...
You chose to call this work 'No Sense'... Well it is making a lot of sense to me! It is natural for people to evolve while getting older, learning new things, or what ever that makes you change. Change is a good thing mostly for I suppose everybody wants to evolve in order to feel better or to grow into the person they want to be.
Sometimes, all this happens while you are in a relationship and however tight your bond may be there is no garranty that your partner will evolve in the same way you are changing. This can happen in relationships, friendships...
However there is no way you can stop your own evolution and as you point out in your poem, the fact that you are evolving and going your own way for a while does not always mean that love will stop as well.
This is a fact of life, making much sense to me and a wonderful writing!
I hope your friend will wait on you!
Sometimes people outgrow each other it seems. I like your expression of your emotions here. I am not sure what I would change, I think you did a good job.
