standing in the rain

standing in the rain

A Poem by Dannyisawriter

Drunk off my own rage
I've finally rattled the cage of my brain
I'm standing out in the pouring rain
Soaked to the bone, I think I've finally gone insane
Looking up at the depressing moon
All over the sky it's depressing light is strewn
And I think "Well here we are again"
When will this cycle end?
The rain is so cold
As my heart is like melted gold
Every time I give someone my heart
They take it in for a stomp
So here we are again
I thought you were my best friend
The rain washes away my trail
As my mind has gone off the rail
I'm gonna have to restart
I'm gonna have to jump start my heart
