Kingdom Come

Lately it seems

The days are dragging on

And there's no rest in these dreams 

They keep me up till dawn

It seems I can't go a day

Without saying "I'm sorry"

It's like I'm a wandering stray 

Trying to survive the safari 

But it's alright because I await the day of Kingdom Come

The day I can lay against Your chest

The day the war against the flesh is won

The day that in your arms I can finally rest

Oh let Your Kingdom Come

So I can finally see Your face

So I can sing rather than hum

So I can finally leave behind this place 

Let Your Kingdom Come!

Good write. I think the rhymes in verse two don`t work, safari and sorry, ( also in verse one), the first line in verse three breaks the rhythm ( versed poetry needs lines of the same length.So this needs some work.
