He comes home drunk every night

Such abuse and emotional turmoil… it's tragic.

NOTES: I think the rhyme works against the impact of your lines. I recommend eliminating the rhyme scheme for this one. I also think you're longer lines should be shortened or broken into to lines for better flow when reading aloud.
