They say love is blind

I guess that’s why I’m stuck in this bind

You were my addiction

And became my affliction

 

So I run to the bottle

Without waiting for no huddle

Take away this affliction

I welcome your addiction

I walked right into this bind

I guess that’s why everyone says love is blind

Very nice. I like the way your succinct poem carries us in the tragic circle of addiction. I also like the ambiguity; it could be about love in a bad relationship, or about substance addiction.
