How I wish you could read my mind

It’s because of you it’s stuck in a bind

If only you knew the right question to ask

Because then I could stop hiding behind this mask

 

I’m far too scared

To tell how I feel about you

Because the damage it may cause may never be repaired

I’m terrified I’ll have to bid this friendship adieu

 

God if only you’d ask me how I feel

Then I’d definitely squeal

Because to your face I could never lie

Even if it meant I would have to say bye

What a truthful poem. I can see your emotions in it. It feels like the narrator is in love with his bestfriend but hes afraid if he tells his feelings, she wont feel the same way and it will ruin everything. Wonderful write!
