Disgust

When I look all around, I am filled with disgust

So many people willing to reduce their lives to dust

The girl throwing her life away for an imagined love out of her ignorance

And refuses all chances for deliverance

The boy willing to risk prison

Just so he can turn his knuckles crimson

The man risking his marriage out of greed

And too stubborn to concede

The woman refusing to admit she needs help

While she makes herself look like a groveling whelp

 

People are idiots and morons alike

Making it so easy to dislike

But the Lord so demands we show them love

Since that’s all he has for them from up above

It is so annoying

But there is no way for avoiding

For as God is love

We must follow in his footsteps thereof!

Totally able to relate to this. All the idiocy of the world and we have to love them as we love ourselves. Well written, though. I really love it.

This writing devided me into two which is not bad per se, as it could have divided me into many more. On one had you show the desire to try to live a good life obviously a good thing and your desire to look up and relate to God is precious. I think it is when you look down that the bitter taste is left on me. It became judgmental, a little bit of self rightous as well and why not to say a bit naive. I think the idea being that we can only get to do what we think it is best in our lives and relate. The others will do what they will do. I reckon that's why after so much deliberation he said: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

That pretty much summs it up.
