The Lone WolfA Poem by DannyisawriterThe Lone Wolf Life circumstances separated him from the pack It is yet to be seen if he’ll bounce back He learned the art of being alone So that he’s fine with it even when the cold wind is
blown He watches happiness from a distance But he so rarely gives into its assistance When will the lone wolf ever go home? That is yet to be known
He is constantly on guard from getting hurt So that when people try to talk to him He comes across very avert To the point he’ll disappear on a whim When you think you’re finally getting closer He’s really drawing more within As he tries to pass himself off as a joker Constantly hiding the scars on his skin When will the lone wolf ever come home? That is yet to be known
When he sees those around him tighten their circle It just causes him to retreat into his shell like a
turtle As he hears about peers hanging out every other day He just looks for new ways to have one man parties That in the end makes his health pay And make him happy hardly When will the lone wolf find a home to call his own? That is yet to be known
And seeing young and old find love and happy
endings, just drive him to the bottle As he downs three or four at full throttle Because he sees the flaws in his own life Thus adding more strife Everyone wants the lone wolf to come home But when he’ll rebuild the burnt bridge, no one
