Death Has Died

Death Has Died

A Poem by Dannyisawriter

The child in the desert country

Awakes to the sound of gunfire

As a gun is shoved in his hands rather abruptly

And his parents are killed as is required

All hope is lost

As death becomes the norm

And his soul becomes the cost

As he loses any hope of reform

But if only he could know death has died

That Jesus’ crucifixion serves as our guide

To a life where all the pain and hopelessness subside

As all the tools to conquer death, he has supplied

The young child is forced to go to war

And see all the horrid gore

He is forced to fight for reasons he doesn’t know

As he is forced to participate in a war that’ll leave him a John-Doe

So why can’t we let him know death has died?

That Jesus is waiting to save his bride

That there is hope for a life

Beyond fighting with that threatening knife

I have noticed and probably as a consequence of the events unfolding around us that we react and we share how we envision the terrible effects that war have on generations. And of course we worry instinctively about the children acknowledging that they will grow and what kind of message will they carry within them after seeing what in this writing is described so delicately?
I don't know the asnwer to that but it is frightening... it is not death that is the image which should scared as the writing points out. Is the manifestation of anger and violence towards each other.

When will we learn?

Thankyou Danny?
