Death Has DiedA Poem by DannyisawriterThe child in the desert
country Awakes to the sound of
gunfire As a gun is shoved in
his hands rather abruptly And his parents are
killed as is required
All hope is lost As death becomes the
norm And his soul becomes
the cost As he loses any hope of
reform
But if only he could
know death has died That Jesus’ crucifixion
serves as our guide To a life where all the
pain and hopelessness subside As all the tools to conquer
death, he has supplied
The young child is
forced to go to war And see all the horrid
gore He is forced to fight
for reasons he doesn’t know As he is forced to
participate in a war that’ll leave him a John-Doe
So why can’t we let him
know death has died? That Jesus is waiting to
save his bride That there is hope for
a life Beyond fighting with
that threatening knife © 2014 DannyisawriterAuthor's Note
