Memories

A Poem by Danny Coykendall

Back to childhood simplicity, the world so fresh and open.

Adventure awaited every dawn with a promise of treasure beyond the horizon.

Lost in imagination we could be anything, dreams inspired by innocence.

Memories.

Back to best friends and first love, a truly beautiful feeling.

Where laughter was real and a smile was simply all that needed to be shown.

On top of the world, hands held in peace.

Memories.

Back to tragedies and lost emotion.

Burned photographs and days with no sleep, feeling alone inside.

Something went wrong, but it is too late for fixture.

Memories.

Such memories makes someone change.

Innocence, love, trust, unable to hold on, yet the future is endless memories.

Every day is a blessing, a memory of what is now.

Memories.

Waste not time, because time waits for no one.

Find love, trust, and discover faith in unexplored horizons.

Is the end really the end? Or just the beginning of new...

Memories.
