Can you sense me?

Can you sense me?

A Poem by Danny Coykendall

Can you see me?

Look at me, not through me.

Am I glass or am I a shattered hope obliviously existing?

Just look closer...

Can you feel me?

Do you feel my breath enter your atmosphere?

Let it cool and comfort you with the realization of my presence.

Just feel deeper...

Can you hear me?

Do my screams strike your eardrums as a symphonic masterpiece?

I shatter the sound barriers of emotions until overextension of the spirit.

Just listen clearer...

Can you taste me?

Savor the bitter disgust that runs across my lips.

Abandoned flavor no taste bud could detect.

Just taste greater...

Can you smell me?

The scent of discomfort and remorse.

I reek of the forsaken acknowledgment.

Just smell harder...

Can you sense me?

Am I transparent, numb, silent, tasteless, and inodorous?

No, you just refuse to notice the dysfunction you have created, go find another puppet.

Just keep searching...
