Since Time is Memory...

Since Time is Memory...

A Poem by Danny Metcalfe

Since time is memory, I will forget to Understand
And since time is full of philosophy, I will not philosophise
And since I become aware of time, because of movement, I will not move.
Since something is followed by something, I will be Nothing.

And since Nothing is not memory, I will be hidden,
Hidden behind memory,
And because I will be hidden behind memory,
Love will beckon me.

And I will know my Lover, not her body, which is time,
But her hidden parts
And know,
The memory of flesh may be forgotten, but the Essence will not.

You will forget everything except her essence, the memory of.....and if you hide behind memory, then there is no time....complex and unusually nice!
Warmly, B

Interesting philosophical piece here. Has the sound of mysticism to it. Tell me though, what exactly is the Essence of flesh?
