Crown Me With Eternity

Crown Me With Eternity

A Poem by Danny Metcalfe

God, crown me with Eternity,
With its pure clarity and pure Space,
Which doesn't blind but awakes.
Crown me with Eternity,
So I will not speak with my tongue but with Consciousness.
And rid me of the disease of tomorrow,
Of the unknowing of today.
Do not give me the confused tongues of philosophy,
Of false gods and idols,
Or the separation of subjective thinking,
Give me the sober grain of objective seed,
And burn away the chaff of what I am not,
Crown me with Eternity,
So I am simultaneously man and stone.
