Myths.

Myths.

A Poem by Danny Metcalfe

The universal history
is the infinite expression
of unique law before the silence of God
and so we come to dream in a foreign language,
the origin of which is the native land of our hearts.
The tongues of angels and demons
are the shadows of our language,
and the mansions of the earth
are where we house the geometry of our myths.

It seems that myths come to us from foreign lands long ago... in foreign languages that get translated down the line.... They might have seemed real back then, but now we call them myths, tales of the the Gods, demons, etc. Nice write Danny
