The Toilet.

The Toilet.

A Poem by Danny Metcalfe

I was sat on a train waiting to arrive at my destination

and sat across from me was a poet and philosopher

Who asked me: Do you believe in the mediocrity

of the masses theory? I told him no and started to

argue with him. He said: If you give the people

the illusion they are thinking, they will adore you,

but if you really make them think, they will kill you.

And that got me thinking and I had the urge to kill

him…

I then got up to go to the toilet. It said it was engaged

and for some reason people were clapping,

telling the toilet how happy they were for it.
