The Resurrection of OzA Poem by DannyLynne RileyWould it be too hard... too much for you to taste...?
The Diamond droplets on her tear-stained face Could you handle the truth of her Fire-Opal heart And face the fact that you played a huge part In the cracks you used to scale Alabaster walls While you courted her secrets in those grand Emerald halls Casting calls and honors in the pulling apart of limbs And those coveted Ruby Slippers dangling from the rim Of her sanity set in Sapphire and Gold In Jasper fields of Poppies and snow And the last Golden straw was in the Amber haze Of a lost little girl on a yellow brick maze And the Cache of horrors it took to retrieve The Obsidian heart on the Tin Man's sleeve And the little Brass house that was dashed upon the winds Along with every last hope of going home again As the ending score played, Tapping heels in the midst To a story marked by the charms on her wrist Was this the cost...? The final price for her sins? Or The Resurrection of Oz...Rising within ~DannyLynne~ © 2011 DannyLynne RileyReviews
