Reviewing Selene

These words came to me while reviewing a poem by Selene Skye.

Would

That I could

 do more than behold

but to posess

 a talent such as yours

Your words are beautiful...

As you are.

They stay with me

long after I retreat back to my life

And as I borrow some wisdom

from your treasury

of words and lessons

The world becomes

colourful

and rich...

multi-dimentional

and I am blessed

for you gave a gift

something inside awakened

that lay sleeping

far too long

and roused me from

my slumbering soul song

to rise up 

and find a voice of my own

Yes Selene is one of a kind. Incomparable. I do cherish the day I found this sight and stumbled upon her lyrical, lost world, inner-strength madness (for if one is mad in a mad world, what are you truly?) she is a muse to many. She has inspired me to write again. So yes, may the bards of the new world sing a song of wonder and may it be called Selene.

I just had to come and read the work held the name of the emerald-eyed gem so highly. Your words of appreciation are treasures themselves, describing the place she holds in so many hearts. A flawless pearl held in a clamshell we call the WC. Glad to know others have awed at this 8th wonder as I have.

Indeed, Selene and her work are a fabulous force of nature. From free-wheeling, mythically-informed surreality, to haikus w/imagery (I forget the name), to fables, to even waters of calm reflection, she LIVES her work w/passionate intelligence. Doing that w/the pedal to the metal rapidly becomes a de facto shamanic vocation. And shamanism pushed to multiworld dizzying extremes enters the serenity of the Buddhic Void, and she has touched on every major note of being ALIVE.

Your poem is a fine tribute to the effects of such excellence: catalyzing creativity and change in others. Cheerz!

Yup she sure does have talent. And that is so kind to write a poem for her :D When I saw the tittle I was like is it really the person I'm thinking of? Sure enough it was. This is beautiful and what a sweet dedication!
