The Autumn Dazzler

The Autumn Dazzler

A Poem by DannyLynne Riley

Oh my luv

come Dazzle me

with Autumn ruby

and mahogony trees

then lay down my lonely

on a bed of gold leaves

and cover me slowly

with echo's and plea's

then paint me a sad heart

in crimson and dawn

seduce me with sorrow

with fever and song

with tempest and tender

and a hint of a goodbye

in shades of November

and rust colored lies

then trace me in tear-drops

that spill from my chin

unlock me in darkness

then spark me within

oh please Autumn Dazzler

come haunt me again

Dear Danny

Having read this and your profile, you are my kind of person!

They tell me I have led a colourful life; but I am not sure they realise there are more than the apparently 7:

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

It is not only that they can be mixed, it is that I am almost certain that there are colours of which we have no perception.

You've had a tough time in life. I understand completely.

So have I.

Go read Split, my novel on here.

Different causes and reasons.

But you have survived it and in so doing you have overcome some of the many most malicious, injurious, malevolent and harmful elements / curses on the planet - hard drugs and more.

I have merely had to survive and I am surviving bipolar disorder.

I never do short, s**t commentaries. Mine tend to be longer, but it is a matter of opinion as to whether they still remain s**t!

This, your piece:

Style: Lulling. I could fall asleep to this!

Grammar: It is echoes and pleas and not echo's and plea's.

Content: Highly erotic and sensual. EL James should have read you before she turned out her trite trilogy. This is more 'Lady Chatterley's lover.'

Back to colour, you use many in here, which enhance the senses. But there are supposedly five senses, though I don't believe that anymore than there are seven colours.

You do sight touch and hearing but like us all, me above all, we often forget taste and smell.

I really prefer not to stray into the territory of those whose reviews are limited to 'Great read! Wow! Well-done'!

But if only in the interests of self-mockery (I'm in that sort of mood today):

'Great read! Wow! Well-done'!

Quite apart from failing to be amusing, I do honour your survival and your ability to come out the other end, with a greater appreciation for what life really is about, by having gone through sheer hell and presenting us with this accomplished piece.

From one ex member of hell to another

And with my kindest regards

James
